Louis Amorosa, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon dual fellowship trained in spine surgery and orthopaedic trauma surgery. His primary clinical areas are cervical disc replacement and other motion preserving spine procedures, scoliosis/spinal deformity correction, and minimally invasive spine surgery for disc herniations and spondylolisthesis. He also routinely treats fractures, including those of the pelvis and acetabulum.

Dr. Amorosa graduated from the University of Notre Dame with high honors. After college, he spent a year in Rome, Italy, as a Fulbright Scholar. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and graduated with honors. Following this, he completed an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospitals. He subsequently completed an Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery followed by a combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery fellowship at the Rothman Institute and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. He finished his training and has been an attending surgeon since 2013. Prior to joining Ridgewood Orthopaedic Group, he was an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospitals.
